Manchester City: Premier League champions 2022-23
Having cleared the field, it looked as though another pitch invasion of thousands had taken place, but it turned out just to be the Manchester City backroom team.
Then it's the turn of Pep Guardiola and his immediate coaching staff to be introduced to the crowd, followed by the players. There's a something of a hold up as Jack Grealish insists on rubbing the belly of every slightly overweight individual employed by the club.
Fittingly, Guardiola is the first up to collect his medal, and a huge roar goes up around the Etihad to greet the boss.
One-by-one, the first team squad come forward to join their manager on the pedestal, each receiving their own tribute from the City faithful.
Stones. Ake. Grealish. Haaland. Foden. Rodri. Walker. De Bruyne. They're all there and more.
And now it's time for them to receive the trophy, collected by Ilkay Gundogan...
Scott Carson has got changed into his Manchester City 'Champions 23' shirt which can only mean one thing: the Premier League trophy presentation is just moments away.
The trophy presentation may be delayed, but the celebrations are well underway inside the Manchester City dressing room - albeit amid some very dubious singing.
Let the celebrations begin! 🎉 pic.twitter.com/8ZfQCTvCoN
'One down, two to go' read a banner held aloft during the celebrations on the pitch at full time.
It's also the view of City defender Kyle Walker, who praised those second-string players who stepped in today to continue the club's winning ways.
He insists that they're not done there though, and each of them want to ensure this is a season that ends with an unprecedented treble.
This group of lads are second to none. They’re professional. They’re winners. Rest assured we’re not finished. We will enjoy today and finally have a few glasses of champagne, but then we move on and hopefully can create history.
Yet again, the Etihad Stadium has been a fortress for the champions this season.
Only Brentford and Everton have managed to come away from a visit to Manchester City with anything other than a defeat, and in 30 games there in all competitions, Pep's superstars have racked up 100 goals.

As security - moving only slightly more assuredly than Chelsea's attack - struggle to clear the field, here are the numbers from today's encounter.
That number of passes from Manchester City seems somewhat devilish.
The final whistle is blown by Michael Oliver, and - for some inexplicable reason - thousands of Manchester City fans pour on to the pitch.
It appears performative goal celebrations in the stands have been replaced by performative pitch invasions.
90+4. In the final seconds, Man of the Match Foden gets back to deny Azpilicueta a certain equaliser.
Absolutely brilliant from the five-time Premier League winner.
90. Chelsea's season summed in a moment.
A promising attack ends up with £62m man Mudryk slashing an awful shot high and wide of the target.
The end of the game can't come soon enough for Blues fans.
The end of the season can't come soon enough for Blues fans.
88. Chelsea are just a couple of minutes away from finishing behind West London rivals Fulham.
They had already been confirmed as finishing behind Middlesex outfit Brentford.
87. Some pinball inside the Chelsea 18-yard box ends with Alvarez arrowing another shot high and wide.
The young striker is always a threat in the box.
85. Christian Pulisic is thrown into the mix, one for the ineffectual Kai Havertz.
It immediately prompts debate on commentary about the huge rebuilding job Chelsea have this summer - which is essentially finding clubs to take members of their disastrously bloated squad off their hands.
83. There's certainly an end-of-season, walking pace in warm weather feel to it now.
Even as Haaland wins a corner, both teams are very slow to get themselves in position.
81. Two more changes for the visitors.
Kalidou Koulibaly and former Aston Villa starlet Carney Chukwuemeka are given a run out, replacing Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Lewis Hall.
80. A decent Chelsea attack has City backtracking.
Fernandez' pass, Loftus-Cheek's surging run and Mandueke's low cross almost end in a well-executed equaliser.
Unfortunately for Chelsea, they had nobody arriving at the back post to convert.
78. Here come the big guns.
Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri are introduced as Sergio Gomez and Aymeric Laporte take their leave.
76. And now De Bruyne and Rodri are also warming up.
On the pitch, Alvarez curls a long ranger straight at Kepa.
74. And Haaland almost makes an immediate impact!
Swivelling inside the penalty area, the Norwegian turns a shot towards the far post which is neither accurate enough to find the corner or the arriving Julian Alvarez.
72. It may not remain 1-0 for long though because here comes Erling Haaland.
The Premier League's top scorer is on for Riyad Mahrez with little under 20 minutes still to go.
70. Manchester City are celebrating a second Julian Alvarez goal but surely this isn't going to count.
The Argentine striker taps in Riyad Mahrez's pass, but the Algerian had clearly handled in the build-up as he fought off Lewis Hall.
Sure enough, VAR tell Michael Oliver what's what and it remains 1-0.
69. Raheem Sterling departs to a better reception from the home fans than the travelling supporters.
He departs alongside Conor Gallagher while Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Mandueke come on in their place.
68. As Chelsea prepare for a double substitution, City have the ball in the back of the net again.
Mahrez taps in Alvarez's cross, but referee Michael Oliver had already blown up for a push on Fofana by City's striker in the build-up.
66. Not for the first time, Chelsea's Argentine World Cup winner is frustrated and it shows.
He receives a yellow card for kicking the ball away.
